More fun on our trip to Pelican Lake, Minnesota. The evening topwater had kicked in. My buddies are getting them on the whopper ploppers while I’m getting them on the rat and the bird.

Although I haven’t been fishing in over a month and probably won’t go for another month I thought I would put this out there. For me it has been fun to get them on the rat, the mudbug (crawdad) and the Black Cockatoo! What are some of your unusual baits?

Way to get out there and get a few. The city screwing around the water levels has affected the fishing everywhere. Something tells me you’re going to hook on to a big one soon though. Me? Maybe Minnesota in June.

Hey, I looked at it and practiced a little and I’m in for opening day. Maybe I was lucky but it was real easy. First opening day in a few years and really looking forward to it.
