Can boats be launched at Murry currently?

Only 10 years or so , if we're lucky, based on the City of SD ineptitude & CA state stipulations....

Don't add any water, but cut up & let soak in it's own blood & juices & marinate for like 48-72 hours room temp.
Then freeze until you gonna fish & thaw out at least 48hrs
Chicken livers are good bait too.
Soak them in mackerel juice for 48 hrs & freeze.
Again, thaw 48 hrs prior to use.

So sad to see this at El Cap. & Hodges...
I'm an SD native in my 50's & have fished all the SD county lakes since childhood.
There has been a long, steady decline in the management & operations of the lakes since the late 90's.
There are now more lakes that private boater/fisherman cannot use than ...

$268 million upside down on the budget & part of his solution is to cut services like fishing days & having all fire pits removed...

Access to our city lakes is on the chopping Block due to ineptitude by the current SD mayor/administration.

*** There are petitions for both lake Murry & lake Miramar for citizens to sign who oppose these current proposed access cuts.***

Reading these 🧢 reports and being a boater is sheer torture. And its my favorite lake after Barrett. Damn the city (pun intended) for not managing our water resources and dam maintenance/replacement funds better. And you can throw the Hodges story into this too. Sorry bfullerton17 for going ...

Hard to answer this question.
The state of CA is calling the shots.
Perhaps other states that are not doing this are teetering on disaster...
Or
The state of CA is over protective due to earthquake risk or there is some conspiracy to charge higher rates to customers.

Water is a tough investment ...
