Re: Anglers Marine San V results??

Yeah, expecting a tough day tomorrow. I’m just curious as to what kind of weights they brought in.

2/25 Otay & 2/26 Murray

Well left my house late Sunday morning and took my kayak down to Otay. Didn't arrive till 8:45, but did not matter much as
I mostly wanted to just get my PA 12 back in the water again. I have not taken it out since late November. Anyway....it was
an easy launch as I parked right next to the water. I ...

Sounds about right. Limits of 2-4lb fish. Weights at the Cap slightly higher last weekend with big kickers.
Not many fish over 4lbs in San V anymore..definitely not going to be remembered as the good ol days!

Re: El Cap 2-24 Can’t Complain! With a PSA

Thanks for the PSA, but for some of us the damage was done back in the 60s-70s..too much fishing, surfing, and golfing before sunscreen came around! I've done the sunscreen routine for the last 40 years and it hasn't kept me out of the doctors office. I fear that in the future they will learn more ...

San V 2/26 Way better than I expected.

After the fish were hammered with 110 teams in the Anglers Marine tournament on Saturday, my expectations were set pretty low. The morning started out about how I thought it would. There were only about 6 boats when I launched but one of them ended up on the spot I wanted to start on. No biggie ...

Re: El Cap 2-24 Can’t Complain! With a PSA

Besides being covered up, I heard several times the only true sun block is zinc. By dad had it all over his arms, seemed he was having it burned off once a month.

Re: 2/25 Otay & 2/26 Murray

Thanks Vinny.I was wondering about Otay. Almost never see reports from there recently.

Glad you got some.

I was kind of overwhelmed by the water level at Otay when I got there. There is so much new cover to fish
and I was not planning to be there long so decided to just head down a little ...

Hey JWall it was great meeting you out there and chatting! Thank you for the kudos. I'm not sure I'm ready for flight with the tube setup but maybe teleportation will be next! I look forward to seeing you again on the water and congrats on the nice fish! Cheers!

Confidence Baits or New Baits: Which Do I Fish?

https://youtu.be/FRH0713MlFA?si=CXmy52JYgvHrnWIW

Hey all I hope all the lines are tight and the drags are screaming. I really had a mental splinter this week deciding where to fish. I know that shouldn't be that big a deal but look I'm sure you guys get it. Do I fish here or there? Once a decision ...

Re: Anglers Marine San V results??

I got all my Bass last week at 40-50 feet at San V. A slow 40 count every cast. 1/8 oz. Jighead and 5 inch ZMan Trout Trick with one inch cut off, in Redbone. Most had to be sunk back down with a Release device.

Re: Confidence Baits or New Baits: Which Do I Fish?

Obsess over where to fish and what to throw? Me?! LOL that’s got to be all of us. Lately location is anywhere away from the tournaments. I make lists and lists of tactics, each different for every lake. I love trying newer weapons, hence the jig Saturday. More of a rubber worm guy for bottom ...

Some guys might know me.....

There are some guys here that might still remember me. I used to be a Socal native and fished the Socal lakes a lot on a tube dragging a jig. Just wanted to drop this video for you guys this is not in Socal. I have since then moved to the Central valley and now do kayak tournaments up here. This is ...

San V Leap Day, steady but slow

I realize that may sound like a contradiction but it pretty much describes my day. Fishing was actually better on Monday, at least for me. I ended up with a Bakers Dozen but there was no size to them and I struggled for bites.

I would get a fish or two off a spot and it would die. I ended up ...

Otay 2/25

A little late but still recent enough to be relevant.

Met my good friend Marshall at 5:45am and started fishing by 6:15. 60 degree water in the morning and the lake is close to max capacity. The typical tulle line is a few feet underwater with some bass starting to move into the shallower flooded ...

Lake of D & K: Where did the water go?

Well it was a 77 mile trip to the lake and back home.....or was that just a large farm pond I fished at today???
Last year the water level at the lake of Donald & Kiefer was so high that you had to launch up near the concession stand as the
parking lot was all under water. It was absolutely ...
