Personal best (Sunday 8/31)
On the water with my two boys and a boat ticket just before 7am. Our confidence spots were not hitting as hard as they have been over the past few weeks. Stayed in the main lake until we picked up a buddy at 9am. I focused on various top water approaches — flukes and small poppers produced the best ...

Re: Personal best (Sunday 8/31)
Congrats on a great day. You would have shared 31 with the others if you weren't solo! The wild life is always a bonus.

Re: Personal best (Sunday 8/31)
Really enjoyed your report and those were some great photos. Lots of bass must have been
so much fun with the boys. Love that pic with you holding up the big one!
That DT Hula grub has been a plus for me also with a 7lb'er recently at Mur.
Thanks for sharing and tight lines always.

9/10 Late to the party
I woke up at 2:15 my usual time to head to Barrett. Body said nope and went back to sleep and woke up at 6 ready to go. When I arrived I saw Shawn and Theo heading out. The weather was nice no big winds and not to hot. Not being dark missed that fishing fun. Not many rollers then none. No topwater ...

Re: 9/10 Late to the party
Good to see you out there David! You did better than we did — slow day for us (about 50 total). Zero top water and plenty of smaller fish making our numbers. Although your secret weapon helped Theo at the end! Beautiful day on the water though!

Secret weapon…WUT?! Lol great job all 3 of you diehards

Ummm. I'm going tomorrow and I can keep a secret.
It has been a good year so tomorrow is experiment day. Crazy colors. Weird presentations. Trying out new skills - especially any secret weapons.

Re: Wednesday 17 report
Wow. 6.2. I fished for 4 1/2 hours Wednesday afternoon. Caught 17, a few 3-pounders, a few 2-pounders, and several 1-pounders. All senkos and roboworms. Mostly Hauser. Went to end of Hauser. Weird. All of this growth about 3 feet below the surface for several hundred yards. No action. Very cloudy ...

9/20 Big B report
Three trips to Barrett this year totaled about 250 LMB for me and Max. A little tougher today as we landed about 60 including a four pounder and a three pounder. Most of the fish though were what we affectionately call jumbo dinks. Tried topwater in the morning to no avail. We got most of our fish ...

9/20 Barrett
Didn't get there at the open around 6. Shawnster and Theo launching also. I decided to head to Pine. That was not good for me. Saw Big C and Max. Watched Big C land his 4 lber. I headed out to Becky's and so did Shawn. Becky's not producing as it was lined with yak. So I headed to main lake and ...

Report 9/24
Started off doing the normal stuff along the bank. A few fish but nothing to get excited about. We switched tactics to off the bank, deeper water and started throwing HookUp Baits off the bank in 15 to 20 ft of water. Game on. We ended up with 80 fish throwing 1/8 oz colors of Ice and Green Pumpkin ...

Re: Report 9/24
Thanks for the report. The fish under the boat I have been doing all season. It seems weird you don't need to cast out to get them.

Re: Ticketmaster pricing
Renting the same 16ft boat from the other SD lakes($100 all day)is still cheaper than Barrett. And the fishing permit is only $8 compared to $45 for Barrett. But we all still pony up the extra cost to fish and actually catch double, triple numbers of bass that you can't at our local lakes. Count down ...
