I have not fished Barrett in decades and it would be nice if it was open year round especially

Late report from last sunday....
I ran into a another bobcat on the shore same deal on lures used lizards and work great.... a couple on top a couple on crank but the highlight was the bobcat ... not sure why I enjoy animals in nature, wind got really bad on the way in around noon water was ...

I am so glad to follow my gut when it said "ya gotta get to Barrett". My main objective besides catching fish was to test out the pontoon boat. I had just added a 100 ah lithium battery and also I added butt steer. A couple bungee cords to seat and shaft of motor. I finally got the pontoon dialed in ...

Nice report bro.... I think that cat is the same one I been seeing lately, he is diff not afraid of humans cause I got pretty close without noticing it myself

Nice report bud.... glad to see you where hitting them out there just like you said you have to find the buggers now... happy to hear the lizard tips help you out for a bit, a pack of lizards and a 9in upton worm is always in my bag depending on season matches the color.... should be a fun month ...

I like to throw more of a neutral color when they are this picky in the beginning of the season I was throwing red , plum and black and blue... now they don't hit those colors ...

Vinny, come out there with us. It's an easy launch for a kayak and the fishing is great, but like you said there's a lot of great people who fish there.

went on sunday for the last and only trip of the year. unfortunately coming from LA its hard to get out too many times. thanks for all the prior reports to hear the excitement and so that i have some bearings on what is happening.

got to the gate at 430 and it was just opened with maybe 5 cars ...

Got to lake @4:30,cold, light wind,cloudy,it was a little busy, met Dave on the water and decided to head to Pine since I haven’t been since the beginning of the year. Slow picking on wacky rig, got a couple on crank bait and also one on a glide bait which I never throw.
Then headed all the way ...

Got to lake late (midafternoon). Weather perfect. I asked a couple of guys how it had been, and they said a lot of little fish. Sure enough, I saw small bass everywhere. In a couple of years, watch out! Hit the initial big rock north side of Hauser. Got constant bites fishing that bank, drop ...

We are getting to the end of the Barrett season, only a couple more days of the lake being open. Got there around 0500 and it was a pretty packed lot at pigs, so everyone was getting their last casts in, I'd guess. Air temp was cool, water temp was 71-72F. Maybe a little breeze occasionally, but ...

Last Saturday for 2024 ......got there early morning and it was pretty cold for being September... launched and hit the shore line on the way down pines since I been fishing lately with Mr Early release I picked up the popper started picking fish right away 3rd cast i hooked up then every cast felt ...

Nice last day. 2024 was a good season.
