Re: Fishing for Quality 9-1

Nice job out there!
Looks like a fun time and love the pics.....especially the first one of you and that bass but seems it
needs a caption above it to say..... "Heck Yeah!"
Tight lines always and thanks for sharing. :-)

Re: Barrett Report August 28

Jitterbug is the pond goat. Had so much fun on it in the late 90s-early 2000s. I feel like the new ones don't swim right and the hooks hang wrong

Re: How is the shore fishing?

Thanks for the info. Maybe 3 or 4 hours of fishing the dock zone would be worth the trip. I can remember catching one or two by the dam shoreline at the last cast on the way in.

Always on the lookout for snakes, but thanks for the reminder.

Barrett Report September 7

Got out a little later today, since the bite in the dark hasn't been that strong and sleeping in seems like a good thing. Air was 74F, Water was 78F. Light wind coming easterly. Played about in Wilson's creek and didn't have much topwater success. Managed to lose a pompadour lure though. That's two ...

Re: Barrett Report September 7

I need to see proof that you didn’t melt. Just kidding …nice job out there. Just the fact that you’re out there fishing in this type of weather proves you’re a bass fishing stud. I was once like you, but now if it’s gonna be hot, even if I go early, just knowing that I have to leave really early ...

Re: Barrett Big Bass

Nice pig! Always catching them quality fish on the jig. I've caught 2 pound fish on a Hudd, but I rarely catch a 2 pound fish on a jig. It's just a quality bite time after time.

Had that happen to me last weekend. We had just launched and blasted to the back of a cove ...

Re: Barrett Big Bass

Thanks for the report, great commentary and footage Pourboy — watched this start to finish with my boys. Congrats on that beautiful fish. I’ve gotten blown up numerous times this season after leaving my lure unattended for whatever reason. Always a nice surprise!

Banner Final Day @ Barrett 09.07

My son and I started off in Hauser with some nice cloud cover caught a few here and there on crawler, Rapala #5, Flukes and Senkos. We had about 25 by mid morning but it started getting hot with full sun and kinda slowed down. We checked some of the steep rock walls and tried a little deeper for 1 ...

🤣🤣

Man it’s been too long since I’ve thrown a lizard. Plum color?

I like to throw more of a neutral color when they are this picky in the beginning of the season I was throwing red , plum and black and blue... now they don't hit those colors so ...

Re: Lizard time

Nice job!
Using lizards eh? I forgot about those. I better go in the garage and bring some out of retirement...ha ha
I have not fished Barrett in decades and it would be nice if it was open year round especially
because so many anglers love to fish there...........or would that be a bad thing ...

Re: Lizard time

Nice report and it was so funny when you cast the lizard in the middle of the lake, announcing that it was the most unlikely place to get a fish and then your pole bent over and you got that fatty in the first picture. It was a fun day yesterday. It was also pretty cool to watch that osprey nail ...

Re: Lizard time

Totally forgot about the osprey that was pretty cool I thought he was gonna lose the fish but he hold on it pretty good 👍.. I think by them closing the lake it puts a bit of ease on the fish during winter especially since they got beat up during the summer.. maybe opening it up one day a month with ...

Barrett Report September 11th

Got out on the water a little later. Steve had already gone and Chuck was loaded up and ready to go when I got to the parking lot. Much cooler yesterday morning. Actually needed the pullover. Light wind from the east with occasional breezes. The water was down to 75F at the surface. I headed to ...
