Hey John, good chatting.... We had an awesome day on Saturday -- not a record day for bass, but any day on Barrett is awesome. I was all geared up for top water and busters, but they were interested in slow presentations. Once I figured that out, I landed 11 bass but nothing particularly large ...

I think I carry too much #hit to begin with to have room for an emergency kit. :-D

But,if there's anything that can fit in an emergency kit that'll fix a pulled hamstring after running down the path with a 60 pound battery....I'm all ears.

Caught 2 for 15,5 lb 10 minutes apart in the Pine Arm a couple years back.

My 3 favorite Barrett baits are A Rig, hudd 68, and a big rat. I’ll have to add a fourth…s waver.

But, senkos or any splitshot worm kills if I feel like wearing out my arm.

Spinner bait, Senko, BrushHog

Bluegill pattern Spinnerbait 3/8oz
albino zoom swimming fluke jr on 1/8oz darter head
1/4 football head finnese jig, big-bites 3" craw trailer.

(for numbers, D/S robo worm, senko and 3.8 kitech)

But honestly the best 3 baits at Barret(or anywhere) are the 3 you are best at fishing.

Back in the day, black and blue ...

Popper, then jerkbait and then crankbait as the day progresses. Unless conditions keep one of those catching. When they are busting, I like a stick bait but a fluke might be better, I just like to see the hit on the surface.

There's a couple reports on Wednesday that cover the lures we all used pretty well. I do have panoptix and saw bait balls at about 10 feet and lower on Wednesday.
