Plenty of sculpin next to the midway. Dropper loop rig with market shrimp on size 4 hooks works great. Lots of small ones, but definitely enough keepers to make it worth an afternoon. Don’t cast far—they’re right by your feet.

Been a while since I have seen a Sculpin that large nice fish ! Sculpin regulations have changed , no size limit, if you possess fillets they must have entire skin attached .

Went out to the Cays Monday after the weekend storm to find the waters full of trash. What also looked like a slick of sewage in the channel was not something anyone wants to see either. Once the outgoing tide kicked in, the water slowly cleaned up.

I love fishing in the rain! I was warm and dry (except for hands and face, though I do have some nice neoprene gloves) and catching fish. What more could I ask for.

Saw large schools of 2" slough anchovies in the harbor I was fishing in today. The clear curly tail grub worked better than anything else I tried (full disclosure: did not try a junebug craw though). It looks like you have that curly tail upside down is that how you set them so they fit the head shape of the jig?

Early morning is usually the best time. Find the eel grass and eventually you’ll hook up into some bass. Also when in doubt, go smaller and lighter on the jigs.
