Re: Rocks, trees, and Vinnybass....
I'm now claiming your rock pile for myself..since my rocks are now in 2 feet of water, thanks to the San Diego Water Authority...and TOAD GLORIA!

Murray shore fishing 6-26
Late post but wanted to share. Fished Murray Thursday morning. I was able to hit this beauty off a drop shot. Pulled some drag and immediately knew it was a good one. Biggest one for me this year. Scaled at 4.14lbs. Tight lines guys!

Re: Rocks, trees, and Vinnybass....
I spent a lot of time underwater at Lake Perris in the Glenn Lau Era. He produced a film called Bigmouth in 1973 that spurred me to become a Scuba and later Freediver. I was making Money diving for Keys and hooking up sunken Car/Trucks at the Launch ramp (it happens more than you would think)and ...

Re: Rocks, trees, and Vinnybass....
I'd say the visibility at D.K. is around 3'-4' maybe. Most of the trees tops aren't visible yet, but they're close. I've ended up with alot of crank baits and and anchors from San V and El Cap from back in the old days when they would drop the lakes after several high water years. Now the lakes go ...

Murray dinks and clones 6/30
First day back from vacay. Hit Murray as the gate opened. Caught perhaps a dozen but all were of the smaller dinks and clones variety. About half of them were topwater, and the rest all came courtesy of small crankbaits.
Like I said, nothing big, but it felt great to get back on San Diego water. It ...

El Cap 6/30
6 am check in. Haven't been here in a while, water is down 3 to 4' from when I was there last. Changed everything. I went to my favorite first stop and had to figure it out. No topwater for me, no real busters. Fluke did okay, but I noticed this guy just going off on them. I couldn't stand it and ...

Otay Yay!
Fished Lower Otay last Wednesday and had a decent day as far as numbers go. Water temps pushing over 79 degrees and pretty stained down the Harvey Arm. Lots of blowups right at the bank and we had most of our success with finesse like weightless Senko and Neko rigs. Decided to throw a jackhammer w ...

Re: El Cap 6/30
Saw that as well. I was wondering what it was. Never got down that way but I have the same picture . Frog bite kept me from moving around.

Murray last week
I made a trip to Murray last week. No topwater. A couple on Texas rig. 14 on a 3" fluke style bait. A couple 4lbers and as it has been a bigger one that got away.

All I’m doing is fishing buddy 🎣🎣🎣
Robert,
Just a friendly word of advice: Go out and have fun always, but you need to keep things low key,.
In other words you should not be posting pics of fish caught when the lake is closed . Many have done it but don't advertise doing it especially on a ...

7/3-Murray again....
Got to Murray around 7:30 am, which is a pretty late start but still managed to have fun picking up some on top. Nothing real big but always fun to watch them hit your bait on top of the water. Bass are feeding on shad all over and it has been a challenge at times even throwing right onto boils and ...

Fireworks going off...in the A.M.
I hit my home lake today, not sure I've ever fished on the 4th of July...but it was well worth it! I was on the water before sunrise and Fisheromen was already into fish! We headed over to an area we got fish last week and it was on! Before 7:00, I already had 18 fish...and I'm thinking Fisheromen ...

Re: Fireworks going off...in the A.M.
Definitely a session to remember! I had 15 in the same 7:00 time frame! One particularly frustrating thing happened. Even though I use a short mono leader on my Gunfish Rig, the trebles got thoroughly tangled in my 8 lb braid! I did not want to take time to tie a new leader with fish crashing ...
