Re: El Cap 5/17 she’s still kickin’

Too bad the water is not going right into Murray to the water level so I could pitch Tokyo rigs into tulles like I used to years ago. That’s not happening because they can’t raise the water over a certain level now at Murray so it’ll never be like it was about three years ago. Anyway, nice ...

Re: FFS/ LiveScope/ Activetarget Yes, No, Maybe So?

I just don't want to hear anymore, " just because you can see them, doesn't mean they'll bite"...yes, but it gives you a 99% advantage over the guy throwing to dead water! I've fished next to people with FFS in deep water and it was definitely an advantage for them...and myself, just knowing there ...

Best day so far 5/20

Best day of the year so far at Murray. Caught a dozen fish, and all but two of them were over 2 pounds. Plus three nice ones, a 3.2 pounder, a 3.7 pounder and a 4.3 pounder.

It isn't the most fish I've caught at Murray this year but definitely the most quality. All on BFS gear.

Re: FFS/ LiveScope/ Activetarget Yes, No, Maybe So?

Part of the love I have for fishing is the fact that I'm always learning. If I said that I would rather rely on what I've learned in the past, and no longer was interested in learning, my next step would to sell all my gear. ;-)

That's the exact part that I love about fishing, always learning ...

Wasn't gonna post but ...

After some quality bigger fish yesterday it was back to clones at Murray today. I actually wasn't going to post, but I just had to share a picture of this pretty clone I caught. The picture doesn't really do it justice. It had the most beautiful golden almost orange tone to it. Very dark and vivid ...

Murray 5/23

Rad day at Murray. I stopped counting at 30 fish. Lots of bass in the high 2 pound range and 3 fish over 3 pounds. Also caught the biggest bluegill I've ever seen. Fat as hell. It's mouth was big enough for my scale and it weighed in at 2.54 lbs.

So much fun, it almost makes me regret leaving on ...

5/23-Not close to Murray

I could fish Lake Murray roughly 20 times vs one time on the round trip distance going from my house to the Lake of D & K, but it is always a fun adventure which makes it worth it. And besides, it is always a pleasure to run into fellow SDFish folks like Fisheromen and Mcfish . Started off kind of ...

It's a party!

It's always a fun time when you've got Vinnybass and Fisheromen on the lake with you! DK was in my wheelhouse today! I mixed it up today throwing various plastics and picked up 31 fish, mostly the clone variety...but fun, fun, fun! Mr. Vinny always inspires me to throw different baits, since he is ...

Re: 5/23-Not close to Murray

I was there bank fishing to the left of the launch ramp and saw you guys come in. Heard something like float tube vs air craft carrier :).
Seemed like the ranger just wanted to talk and talk and talk. I left with 8 from the bank in 2 1/2 hours, biggest like 2 1/2#

Re: Mike Long

Birding and photos are not much more different than trophy hunting for bass or animals. Scratches the same itch.

I should probably call it “Lago McFish” like
@JWall suggested because he has that lake wired.

First time on the kayak

Finally got my new to me kayak out to the water. The day didn't start off great as a buried a treble hook just passed the barb into my finger. Luckily was able to get it out and keep on going! Ended up with four and lost one. Still learning to fish off the kayak but can't wait to get this out more!
