Re: Launch conditions @ Cap
With El Cap, Hodges, Morena, and Sutherland now below 15%, San V, Otay, and Barrett will be destroyed next! They have to keep Murray and Miramar up to run the filtration plants. The City has no money to buy water, so kiss your lakes goodbye....you'll be drinking what you used to be fishing! The ...

Not just every bass boat, but every boat that the owner does not want to be put in to the salt.

San V with my son Sat 5/30
Son is in town for a few days so we got out for father/son time on the lake.
Arrived to the ECBT tournament launching after moving to San V from Otay. Thankfully there were only 17 boats so it wasn’t bad. Started out with top water and wake baits. Managed one on a soft Z-man popper. Missed several ...

Re: Shore fishing help
Buy shiners and cast them off the side of the dock with a small hook and split shot 2-3ft up the line at San Vicente or any lake for that matter, doesn't get any easier then that

Re: Hodges 5/30
I saw the work they were doing around the shoreline of upper otay and aw they had reclaimed water pipes for irrigation and a bunch of people in chem suits spraying for weeds… to make it “natural”…. I told my buddy it couldn't be good for the water… couple years later massive rain and run off and ...

6/22-Murray Madness
Haven't taken the boat out for a while so off I went to Murray this morning. Greeted by bustling bass and of course Dannicus out there as it was going off pretty good. The madness was trying to catch the bass that were 98% focused on live shad. I thew so many reaction type baits and top water baits ...

Lake Powell Trip
Did our every other year trip to Powell. Yes water is lower, but it is still big and deep. Landed on a great beach in last chance bay. We caught a lot fish, small mouth, strippers, catfish, carp and blue gill. No walleye this time, no big strippers. My son remarried and we have 3 added grand kids to ...

6/30-Quick session-SD River
Quick session down at the river. Ended up having 2 come unbuttoned and landed 3 bass. One bass I lost was pretty darn big, but not going to whine about it to you guys...ha ha. Thank you to Dannicus for inspiring me to toss a jig( a larger one, but still a jig) as it has paid off with larger fish at ...

Skunked at Wolhford (Bank Fishing)
Yesterday, I decided to check out Lake Wolhford. For this fishing trip I challenged myself to a plastic bait finesse only, and completely skunked. I knew this lake is notorious for having murky waters but I wasn't expecting it to be that murky! I fished the east side of the lake and walked to the ...

7/6- Miramar
Quick morning trip up to Miramar.
Tossed a 6" WCZ Battles shad for a bit and had small bass follow it and a couple about a pound banged the tail which was interesting to watch. No surface action at all so just tossed plastic worms shallow and deep and missed 3 and landed 9 small bass. I thought I ...

Remember when San Diego boasted some world class bass fisheries?
The glory days was when the City of San Diego managed the lakes and they had money and there used to be lots of troutplants (which was a great diet to help make giant bass). The county lakes like Dixon, Poway, Jennings and ...
