Had a nice day at Hodges this morning. Met with Pourboy in the parking lot and we headed out a little after 0600. Water temp was a toasty 67 F and wind was calm. Immediately Pourboy hooked a nice fish on a spinnerbait, I think it was one of his first couple casts. Then I got lucky too ...

Great report, good job on all accounts. Action has been heating up on all our lakes, I hit El Cap and got into a good j/b bite yesterday, getting a limit, finally, while others reported good bite on spinners. Buzzers good early am. Keep up the good work.

Didn't think of the buzzers. Great way to cover water. Nice work at El Cap, that's another nice lake.

Well it was a long day, but ended up productive enough for me, caught 7 farmed 2. Go there and it was still a bit dark, but everyone had already got a ticket and headed to the lake...The opened the gate EARLY? That's a new one. Great to get out there with you. Sure was fun to get fish right away too. Have to appreciate your commitment to fish at dawn with me and then go teach, come back and fish for the evening. I want that kind of energy.

Caught several clones and this behemoth at Hodges this morning. My scale sucks but definitely in the 8lb range. I debated on going to Otay today as it's much closer to me. I'm glad I chose to make the drive! It was great to see Pourboy out there too. Good times!
