Had a serious case of bass thumb after yesterday at San V. All it took was a trip to El Cap to cure that! 😆 Been several months since I’d been there. It’s a totally different lake since the last time I was there.

I have always had pretty steady luck with a crankbait there so that’s what I started ...

I don’t know if it’s the same plane, but there has been a guy for the last 15 years or so that flies his plane from somewhere down south, up to the north end of the lake. Then he does backwards loops over and over, right above the lake, until the last one and he just flattens out and heads home ...

All you have to do is wiggle something in front of their mouths. If you’ve found a Bait that does that consistently, you have found a Confidence Bait. Use it. Hey...your tough day of lost fish brings back some crazy memories, but at least you did have highlights of the ones you caught.
I know it is not the same and it is impossible to figure out how did so many fish came off and why. I beat myself up when I lose
a handful or a bigger one for several days ...

Caught 17 yesterday and yes lost 4 or 5 and broke off a giant!
Talked to a guy last Wednesday who claimed a 13.4 and another yesterday that claimed a 10lber on Saturday
I can't find the big ones caught ...

I talked to the guy he had his gopro and showed it to me and had another witness!
I could not tell how big it was on the little gopro and my eyes are not great!!
