Went this morning from 6 to 8. From 6 to about 7:15 used 2 different LC and then a 4” paddle tail. Nothing on either LC, only 1 hit on the paddle tail that felt kinda small. Finished up with gulps. Used camo and then red. Caught 1 small perch, missed a couple of more.

Gave it go this morning. First cast about an hour after high tide. Fished until about 11:15. Caught only perch, 6 total.
These 2 are the biggest, if “big” is the right word

Sorry about late response, traveling over the weekend. I just cast out about as far as I can. The cast is between the sets of waves. I can’t reach the 2nd set without extra weight or wading out in the water. The perch do hit pretty close to shore. It’s hard to tell but the LC are 2 different ...

Fished both sides. Fished bay side where Bendo suggested from about 6:30 to 7:15. Tide was coming in, a little wind in my face. Grass on 8 of 10 casts. Came back after the 1st game. Gave it another go from about 9:45 until 10, tide was going out. Grass on about 7 of 10 casts. Talked to 2 others ...

First time fishing Coronado, bay side no doubt far enough. Ocean side I thought I need about 20’ - 30’ more. I didn’t wade out much more than shin deep. Had a 3/4 weight on. Just reading the water it seemed I was a little short.

jwacky, yeah maybe if they play there again. I definitely would try the bay side especially if the wind was westerly. The beach had a lot of trash on it, especially plastics. Even a “beach whistle” which I thought was an east coast thing. Plenty of parking there and easy walking.

Went out this morning from 6:45 to 9:30. Caught 2 perch each about 6”. Caught 1 on LC, the other on camo gulp. Tried shrimp for awhile, no luck. Caught 1st fish just past 7 am. Seaweed was brutal until about 8:30 or so. Saw 1 other guy to the north of me, he lasted about 1/2 hr. Gave up because of ...

Great post. Just moved here last spring. Probably got to fish the surf in May or June. This site… the members have been so awesome to help this newbie. I thought it was going to be easy after my 1st or 2nd trip out I caught a legal hali. No more legal since. Caught only 2 more hali after that ...
