Well wintertime and things have slowed way down at Murray. I've managed to avoid the skunk so far by the skin of my teeth. All I've been able to get have been a few clones on jigs in 15-20 feet of water. Most of the bass seem scattered and deep.

Still, I was able to pull in a few nice little slab ...

It was a T rig and jig morning, got a nice surprise pulling the chatter over a snag.

There’s fish back in Harvey’s too. It’s pea green soup back there right now.

5 bass today at Otay. 4 of them were 1.5 to 3 lb clones and the largest went 5.4 lbs. All of them were on a chatterbait. I went to Otay arm to try hover strolling but there was really nothing going on there. None of the boats, yaks, or tubes reporting much success so I started working deeper ...

Well I worked the first 3 hours yesterday at Murray and only managed a couple of small 1.5 clone bass. So I pivoted and broke out the BFS gear and rigged it with a tiny chatterbait. I managed 18 of these and even continued picking up the occasional clone bass here and there between .

Still picking up mostly clones at Murray but some of them are faaaat and all of them are fun. Besides the sunrise is worth the price of admission.

I went there yesterday and got 1 bass on a jig flipping the tules. The ramp was great and there was very little pressure on the lake. There were boilers for about 5 minutes in the area I fished and I missed one there strolling. Hopefully it will be great soon.
