I took my tube out for a test after doing a few things. Biggest is changing my 30# thrust motor to a 45#. As i was setting up the tube i found that I had forgot my FF mount. So I'm fishing blind. Only 1 fish on a Gunfish on Friday. Slow TW! It was a good one! 4.3 lbs. First time there in a really long time. Talking El Cap.

I wanted to go out there, seeing all the high numbers of fish catches made me think it would be slow cause the fish had already been caught and probably stressed. It has to be fall, is changing them. We still have to find them. There is no way fishing pressure has anything to do with it. It's more like they are in shock from the lack of pressure.

I got to Otay early and was ready to fish as soon as it opened. As I pushed my float tube down the launch ramp, and into the water my feet slipped on the greasy algae, and I fell over backwards landing on my back and elbow. A guy named Joe saw me fall and kindly came over to help me up.

Nice to see you guys out there man! I ended up getting 6 fish. 5 on plastics and 1 on topwater. The topwater was the biggest (2.4lbs) but was not on camera due to a glitch. It has definitely slowed down over the past couple of weeks for me.

Right on u caught nicer ones I went feet over head launch ramp at glorietta last week 5am after hearing your story im lucky I’m young and had a lot layers on went to check if it was slippery so as I lifted my foot to feel was flying 😂🎣🤷‍♂️

Really nice day at The Cap. Caught perhaps a half dozen clones in the 2 pound range. Also a couple of three pounders. I thought I got pics of both of the threes, but evidently only got one. My old eyes aren't what they used to be it seems.

I also met Ron AKA Bonecrusher and had a real nice chat ...

I was mostly jig fishing. The dinks seem to be on top, but not many busters.

That's too bad about your rod. Those El Cap fish fight like they really mean it. Little tunas they are.
