If you want a first hand experience of violation after violation, just take a stroll down any public pier.

Re: Poaching

Damn

$950.00 That's insane!

What stops a person from going into a sporting retail store and walking out with a new bass rod and reel and not paying for it? And they will claim it's needed for the sustainment of their living. My dad would beat my butt and make me go back in and pay for it. If I ...

Re: New Loveland Updates

You bet Camo, I am not quitting. Just have to have a new perspective that it isn't all on my shoulders anymore.
There are other people, who also are "leading". I don't have control over "compromises" that I would never make.
I have heard a lot of sympathy for Sweetwater and talk of compromise and ...

Lake Murray Water Level Alert!!Updated 6/23

Just a heads up to anyone heading to Lake Murray with a boat as the water level
is now very, very low and you may not be able to launch. Even my buddy Paul went
there to launch his bass boat over the weekend and took off to to El Cap because he told
me about the low water at the ramp.
I went over ...

So they are trying to say it’s a natural disaster but in reality, it’s a man made disaster. I hope it gets exposed for what it is. Corruption at its finest. You can’t make this stuff up

It is exposed. I exposed it thoroughly yesterday. CalEPA, CalOES, FEMA case managers, Sweetwater's Private ...

Re: New Loveland Updates

Possible good development:
I spoke with a young man from Congressman Issa’s constituent services team in Temecula yesterday. It appears that Congressman Issa's staff have, at least temporarily, opened the casework for help with the Forest Service that I posted about around a week ago.
My ...

Re: New Loveland Updates

Here is our Loveland Forest Service Meeting. Wish the old thread was alive to add this to it.
I don't expect anybody to watch it but damn it's been a long time coming.
FS Starts about 30 minutes talking about big budgets but everybody pretty much was there for Loveland.

Re: Lake Hodges sad news

Here's what happens when someone at a TV station goes looking for internet drama. If anyone can find anything to support the claim that the lake is polluted, I'd be interested in seeing it.

The eleven billion gallons, btw, has alread been released; that's the tally for the last year.

But in ...

Re: Fish ID?

Looks like a Nile Tilapia. I think foulhook is correct. I have them in one of my greenhouses and they have a lot of variation but some very much look like that fish.

Massachusetts Fishing

Hi everyone, I moved to Massachusetts a month ago and have been fishing a lot in my free time. I had heard people tell me that the inshore fishing here was good but I wasn't expecting it to be this good. I'm not even exaggerating, I think I've caught close to 200 striper since late August. I caught ...

Re: New Loveland Updates

The CalEPA case managers told us 'no way" to the request for the public meeting! LOL took back the offer of an update completely. I don't want a phone call anyway so it was worth a try to push a bigger ask. They are going to tell me the results when it's over. Maybe one of the other 5 or 6 ...

Re: New Loveland Updates

There are a lot of fish in Loveland.

Some observations from three trips over the last month.
At least one Prime Cove is sort of stacked with just under legal size bass and they seem to be pounding shad now and then, but the shad has not been 100% confirmed. Very typical behavior of busting and ...

Fishing up here in cowboyland

I sure miss the fishing in Southern California, especially the bass fishing. If you live in southwest Wyoming, bass fishing is pretty much not an option, unless you figure out how to target the smallmouth bass in Flaming Gorge (which I have not done, so far). But trout fishing is another story.
The ...
