Re: 1/22-SD River before Home Depot

I consider this post as the assurance that I should make sure that I add a heavy action rod to my lineup :D

Nothing against BFS, but the rod I used this morning was a ex-heavy rod with straight braid on it and it was still was
a challenge, pulling him out of that mess while he was digging in ...

Re: Not all days...

I think a while back I promised to also post the not so great ones too... well today was one. 6+ hours, 2+ miles walked, shivering start, profuse sweating end, and these...

Re: Skunkville. Population: Me

I kind of did a similar thing out there 2 weeks ago, tried a lot without much action and tried different depths. I think I’ll be going to Cap tomorrow morning, and I’m going to try the opposite and really stick to a few techniques. Just stick to a neko, free rig, etc and hopefully find something to ...

Re: The grind

I think there’s much better lake fishing in a few months from now. Yeah catching spotties can be really fun but for me, I just like the challenge of trying to catch bass in the freshwater. My dad used to take me to the ocean fishing and to the lakes when I was a kid and we went almost every ...

Re: The grind

I didn’t start spotty fishing regularly until my 30’s. I have limited fishing time available so I can’t justify the likelihood of fishing all morning for a few bites. It’s been years since I’ve caught a decent green bass. I get “green” with envy seeing some guys on here but I know that it’s my ...

Re: El Capitan 3/17

I launched at the bathrooms closer to the dam for my first trip there last week, and man, bringing my stuff back up the hill in the heat after my session was pretty brutal! Between my trolling motor, lithium battery and my rods and tackle, it felt like 5-6 trips back and forth with breaks in between ...

Re: EMAS charity event 3/23

It’s crazy to look at the calendar and realize that we aren’t that far away from opening day. Gotta start making some tough PTO decisions. Spend a few hours now, or save it for Barrett?

Stoked you all got to have an awesome day out there!

Re: El Cap (3/22)

I can’t wait to get out there again. After fishing hard the past few weeks across the salt & fresh, I gotta put some good days in at work and at home with the family haha. Maaaaybe I can make it out there Friday morning, but we’ll see…
