All caught on ikas, flukes, or senkos. The weather this winter has made the spring bite funky. Not getting as many bites as I usually get on reaction baits this time of year.

Hit Murray with my kayak today as a cold front set in. The cool air blowing across the lake make me think like I was fishing on a cold February day...ha ha I did not have much success as I only caught a couple dinks on a small spoon and a small bass on an underspin and that was it. Has anyone had luck at Lake Murray or Lake Miramar trout fishing? If so, what is your setup like?
any tips or recommendations?

Picked up a limit on the fly at Murray but it was a couple weeks ago. I fished the bank to the right of the boat dock. Black woolly bugger

Lake murray trout bite gas been good in the evenings for me! Catching them randomly while dropshotting for bass.

Nice.. haven't heard much from Miramar lately

I just found the site and wanted to get things going again. I got this nice red ear sunfish at lake 5 on a night crawler.

Testing.... Got this one on a mop fly with silly legs a few weeks back after a slow surf sesh.

Nice man. I went out tossing flies today for the first time in months...really hit the spot. Somehow, after the layoff, my casting stroke was pretty good. Might throw bugs again Wednesday

Hitting Lake Hodges in the morning - still chasing carp on the fly - any advice, as always, is welcome
