Re: Baseball Season
The lack of a tv deal is the biggest problem. It’s crazy how much money other teams have from their markets/deals. I was fine with Soto going, definitely fine with hader. The refusal to pitch more innings when needed soured my opinion of him. It just seemed “me first”. Snell is the one I want back ...

Re: BART hall show 2024
Just not the same as when I was a kid. Even the bass bin is like 1/3 of the volume it used to be. I go because it was something my stepdad took me to when I was young. I never expect to see anything i haven’t seen before nowadays

Re: Confidence Baits or New Baits: Which Do I Fish?
I don’t know if it’s the same plane, but there has been a guy for the last 15 years or so that flies his plane from somewhere down south, up to the north end of the lake. Then he does backwards loops over and over, right above the lake, until the last one and he just flattens out and heads home ...

Re: Lake Hodges: How many fish can I lose in one day?
I watched this morning. Definitely wasn’t laughing at you! On days like that, it’s just something subtle like you’re holding your mouth wrong

Re: Lake Hodges: How many fish can I lose in one day?
If I could get out there you’d have to pry the flat side square bill and cranking stick from my cold dead hands. Only time I’d put it down would be to use the restroom

Re: Baseball Season
Always comes with a cost. I HATED watching them trade franmil Reyes. He was a glue player in that clubhouse and beloved by the fans and his teammates. Manny Margot was another one. This time I’m sad to see them move Steven Wilson. He’s not Nolan Ryan but the guy is a straight dawg and someone I’d ...

One of my favorite baits to throw. Had countless doubles and it’s the only bait I’ve seen catch three fish on one cast. They also catch the good ones ...

Re: New Loveland Updates
The wind/funnel cloud explanation, along with the bird flight out of the water for 20 minutes or more are totally believable. Smugglers hauling fish down in coolers, not so much

Re: First time in the tube! Murray 4/6
Tubing is its own thing, and it sort of lends itself to slowing down/finesse fishing for the most part. You can’t cover a lot of water, being low in the water makes using many baits and even longer rods hard to fish. I’ve only had round tubes since I was a kid. Always adjusting myself in the seat. I ...

Re: Catch & Release and Harvesting During the Spawn
Culling arguments aside, there is plenty of bait in el cap. The shad tend to be the thickest in the north end most of the year. When you’re in 30’ and your graph starts glitching thinking you’re in 2’ because the screen is solid orange, that’s a lot of bait!

Re: Bitter Sweet Day at Hodges 5/18
I’m sorry to hear about your dad. My dad didn’t even fish, I actually got it from my stepdad and brother in law. Dad would take me to Loveland and drop me off, go sit in the truck and read a book or nap somewhere. Then he got me a 14’ valco we hot-rodded and would just sit in the boat the entire ...

Re: Culling others for bass.
Right, the bass that try to eat adult gills are the ones you find floating. It’s the small ones that get eaten. If big bluegills were regular meals for bass the fish at Barrett would be much healthier
